Surface trace phenomenon
The surface mark phenomenon refers to the line mounted or dot shaped concave mark defects on the surface of 304 stainless steel after deep processing or grinding of processed products.
Cause: there are foreign matters on the surface and die surface, and there are scars on the surface of blank holder.
Countermeasures: remove foreign matters and scars before processing, and remove orange peel by full grinding.
Orange peel phenomenon refers to the phenomenon that the surface of 304 stainless steel molded products produces the same shape as orange peel during grinding or other conditions.
Cause: insufficient grinding, the bigger the processing, the more serious the orange peel, the coarser the raw material grain, and the softening of heat treatment.
Countermeasures: deep processed products shall be fully ground, suitable heat treatment conditions shall be selected, and the grain size of raw materials shall be controlled.
